Hello,
I am a 35yo drummer, guitarist, singer, and songwriter (I am also passable on mandolin, bass, and synth/ keys if you need someone who can wear a few hats).
I am looking to join a band, start a band, jam, or find songwriting buddies / collaborators. Basically, to have more music in my life!
I have been out of the scene for a few years due to life things, but previously was in a band as a drummer and a few bands as a guitarist /singer / songwriter.
I prefer writing/ playing mostly original songs. I have a number of potential songs for the right project, but am also happy to start from scratch or jump in with what is already written. I am open to any ambition level. The most important thing for me is chemistry, kindness, and having fun in the process.
I have played & written songs in a few different genres, namely indie, psych-rock, experimental/ post-rock/ shoegaze (yes I have many pedals...), folk/ acoustic fingerstyle/ singer-songwriter, noise/ art rock, and electronic. I would say that I am not good enough to play straight jazz, latin, hip hop, nor classical, but these genres have an influence on my playing. I have a pretty open-mind to trying new genres and love to mix and experiment!
