To be honest, Ive never really been interested in playing in a coverband...Ive always preferred to play my own/original songs and I already have a band that does that really well (check us out at www.thefreestoneprojectband.se).
However, we dont play enough to scratch my rock n roll itch and I would really like to start something in addition to my band. What Im thinking of isnt a regular coverband...but more of a reinterpretation band, where we can put our own spin on classic Stones, Dylan, Hendrix, Petty etc songs, in addition to more obscure covers. Kind of a creative coverband, maybe?
Im a guitarist and would be happy to join up with an exiting band with similar ideas, or alternatively, start something from scratch. You dont need to be professional-class musicians and age doesnt matter at all to me (Im a young 50-something :-) Id be looking to rehearse about once per week and I can probably fix a replokal in Uppsala.
