Desoluna is a music project based in Malmö, Sweden. The style is heavy, atmospheric and a bit dark, but also somewhat progressive. There are both heavy riffs and atmospheric parts. Influences are foremost bands like Paradise Lost, Within Temptation, The Gathering, Therion, and Theatre of Tragedy but also old Metallica, Pink Floyd, Opeth and Sisters of Mercy.
Most songs are already recorded and written by me, as well as the lyrics, and I have decided were the song parts will be, so they are ready for vocal recording. Totally 10 songs will be contained on the album/demo. What I need is:
-One female singer with soprano, opera style and/or angel like voice but also good if you can sing rock style, but not necessary. Must be able to sing right key. Since I can’t read notes, it is good if you have a good ear for music so you can hear what will fit to the instruments. Some song melodies are already written, but can be changed.
If you write to me, I can send you samples of the music and you can send me samples of what you have. A few death grunts will be featured as well, but will be made by me. I will also sing some of the deep voices.
Note that all lyrics and music is already written, but I am open for improvements and ideas. All guitars and bass are already recorded, and keyboards and drums are about to be recorded (there are MIDI drums on the samples). You must have some music program and recording equipment at home to be able to record and send me the wave files . So you can live all over the world, you don’t have to live in Sweden.
First of all I search musicians who are passionate, serious but want to participate because it is fun and want to have merits since I have a very small budget and no record label. A percent of the income is possible after the record is released, that is something we can agree on.
