I'm an American exchange student at Stockholm University who is looking for literally ANY opportunity to sing. I would love to be in your band, sing on your electronic track, be the vocal partner to an instrumentalist, join your a cappella group, or anything!! I haven't started writing my own music or lyrics yet, but I feel confident in my ability to improvise melodies.
I have training in jazz, musical theatre, and choral singing. I also love singing jazz/folk music (think Feist). My range is F3-G7 with a strong suit in mixing and belting.
It's difficult to say who my influences are because I am also open to--and enjoy--singing in styles completely different than the music that I prefer to listen to, but with that disclosure in mind.... My vocal "influences" are Feist, Björk, Maps and Atlases, Joanna Newsom, Alt-J, James Blake, Regina Spektor, and Ella Fitzgerald. Who I hope my lyrical influences will be are Tom Waits, The Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel, Modest Mouse, and La Dispute.
