Hello! My name is Luiz and I am 25 years old. I moved to Sweden last december (I do speak some Swedish already so if you are uncomfortable with speaking English all the time this won't be a problem) and I am willing to get into music.
I am a somewhat experienced drummer as I had two post rock/experimental bands back in my home country and in Ireland (where I was living before, will talk more about those bands in the end of the ad). I am not just into post rock, though, I like shoegaze, post punk, britpop a lot, and I have a growing interest in some forms of hip hop and electronic music. I am not looking exactly for a very specific type of band, it just needs to be something I like. It's more important that the other people share the same ambition and are nice to hang out with. I mean, of course that if you don't like anything that I like probably things wouldn't work out, but you could still apply if you don't like Sigur Ros or Mogwai.
About my previous bands, back in Brazil I had a post rock band called Gray Strawberries (the last.fm is a good start to have a look again http://www.last.fm/music/Gray+Strawberries ) that did relatively well. In Ireland I had another band somewhat influenced by Math Rock, calleed Gallicrow, that didn't went much far as I had to move here (gallicrow.bandcamp.com). I still have some contacts from these places that might be useful once things get big (: Once again, I am open to anything I like, don't need to be exactly what I used to do and actually I would be really happy if this time my band could have vocals and lyrics.
I don't have a kit at the moment and I am a bit rusty, but I am eager to start as soon as possible. I already talked to much, but just to finish, I am from Malmö but I am available to travel anywhere in Skåne at the moment, even Copenhagen.
