Jag är en kanadensiska trummis som flyttade till Stockholm en år sen. Jag tycker om svensk metal! Jag pratar svenska inte så bra, så jag forsök engelska, men jag ska förbättra med tid.
I love Melodic Death metal, Epic Power metal and Medlodic Black metal, and I'd like to start a band that combines these sounds somehow. I would really like it to have a symphonic feel, which may require keyboards. Dark, epic and heavy is my goal.
Right now I listen to these styles a lot and I think a mix of them could be really cool: Fleshgod Apocalypse, Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, SepticFlesh, Nightwish, Stratovarius, Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates, and the list goes on forever.
I've played drums for about 20 years (but not always), and I have been in a few metal bands in Canada. I used to be very good at faster drumming with blast beats but have not practiced much for 1-2 years, so I will get better again when I practice regularly. I am 27 if that matters. My drumming style is influenced by Metal (Death/Power/Black) with Jazz and Military because I used to play those genres. I like to make my metal drumming a bit more experimental and dynamic than some metal drummers, so I don't want to be 100% blast beats, or 100% slow beats, but do the right thing at the right time.
