I am a drummer and searching for a new project. I have previous experience in the indie/alternative folk/pop/rock genre with different bands. I also have some experience playing percussions (samba, body percussion) and some basic guitar and piano skills. I would like to work on original material but apart from that do not have any specific preference regarding genre as long as it is varying, grooves and has nice melodies/tunes.
At the moment I listen a lot to Beirut, which I really like. I also enjoy playing music, which is a bit "harder", as well as music with funky elements (I grew up with Incubus). Well, this is just for rough orientation, as I said I am quite open and happy to experimentate a bit (different genres, instruments etc.).
I would like to rehearse on a regular basis (once per week)and perhaps play 1-2 gigs per year. I think it is okay to be ammicious and rehearse seriously, but priority should lie on having fun playing music and socializing with nice people.
So, if you are looking for a drummer (regardless if jazz, folk, funk, indie or alternative) I'd look forward to hearing from you and meet for a jam!
