We are a pop rock band influenced by the 1970s/1980s. We call ourselves DEE. Generally we are more on the rock side; relying on good riffs and catchy choruses, as well as some theatrical vocals and lyrics with a twist.
So far we are a singer and a lead guitarist. We are now especially looking for a drummer (as those can be hard to find), as well as a bass player and a rhythm guitarist.
We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about playing and being in our band. Being nice, easy-going and open-minded both musically and as a person is a must because we want a long-lasting band with no negative energy around.
It would be good if you're approximately from the Stockholm-Västerås area. We are looking for a rehearsal space, probably in Stockholm. It would be a great advantage if you already happen to have access to some rehearsal room. Whatever the case, we hope that all members can participate in the costs of a rehearsal space within reasonable limits (no, we're not that rich either).
Your age could be something along the lines of 18 and 30. Age, however, is not that big a thing as we already have age difference in the band.
You should have at least 5 years of experience playing your instrument. Maybe you've been in many bands before or not at all. We believe that different ingredients can make up something incredible when combined. We have very different musical backgrounds ourselves and it seems to be working really smoothly.
It is preferable if you can sing a bit or at least wish to learn since we are going to have some vocal harmonies especially in chorus parts. You don't have to be a really good singer as we already have a lead singer. In the future it is possible to have other members sing some solo parts or songs.
We've already written a lot of songs. We've chosen 12 songs that will form the basis of an album. We are in the process of doing a demo version of the album.
Even though we have pretty much settled on those 12 tracks for the album, we would appreciate if you're a creative type and also interested in songwriting. In the future we would very much like all members to take part in songwriting. We have already developed a certain style of our own which we hope appeals to you. There's still a lot of room for development, improvement and experimentation.
We would be very pleased to have you develop the visual side of the band with us, as well.
