I play the drums and am currently looking for a band / people to play with.
Firstly, I'm only looking for serious and ambitious people. Does not mean that you need to be professional of course but I would prefer someone highly motivated and don't mind practicing for hours. I'd also like to have as many shows as possible.
I've been playing the drums for around 12 years now and I like simple but attacky drumming. When I started playing the drums (14 years old), my hero was Travis Barker from Blink 182 and he still is my biggest influence (although I've inspired by many other drummers as well), so if you like his style, you'll probably like my drumming as well. I'm into pop, pop rock, indie rock, shoegaze, dream pop etc… I also like classic rock but more for listening and I tend to like a bit more 'modern sound' when it comes to playing. I'm not much into metal and hard rock.
Here are some artists I've been influenced by (as your reference):
Phoenix, Bombay Bicycle Club, My Bloody Valentine, Echo Lake, Grimes, Purity Ring, M83, Best Coast, Balam Acab, Beach House, Sigur Ros, Crystal Castles, Sleigh Bells, Letting Up Despite Great Faults, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Angels & Airwaves, Blink 182 etc…
