I'm a bass player from Italy with almost 30 years of experience playing live and in the studio.
I'm looking for other like-minded musicians to start a band. My primary influences as a bassist are Primus, Tool, Type 0 Negative, Muse, Rage Against the Machine ... I know it's kind of a mixed bag of genres, but these bands have one thing in common. A lot of bass.
So, I would like to find other musicians who want to play heavy music which is not necessarily defined by a specific genre, but that sounds MODERN.
To start jamming and throwing ideas around I'm initially looking for a drummer and a guitarist.
As a drummer you're ideally tight, you have a good technique, weird fills and don't shy away from odd-time signatures. Double bass drum/pedal not a must but good to have.
As a guitarist you have good riffs and throw in the occasional weird combination of notes. But more importantly you don't shy away from experimenting with sounds, even and especially digital. (example: do you play a Stratocaster through a Marshall tube amp? Then not you).
All ages and sexes are welcome, but please no beginners and no people with dreams of superstardom.
What's important to me is that you are motivated and you can spare time to make some music together.
